Stephanie Beerden

Stephanie Beerden was born on Friday the 13th (no joke, she really was) in a small city called Genk and has always been fascinated with the occult, magic and books. Her childhood and teen years were filled with reading lots and lots of books and imagining what life would be like as a real Vampire. Until one day she decided that she wanted to try her hand at writing her own books and that was the beginning of her writing adventure. Her first book is a YA Fantasy called De Elementen – Het Verloren Koninkrijk and after many, many trials and tribulations, one small Dutch publisher decided “Hey, let’s give this girl a shot”. Her second book De Elementen – Archandir has recently been published by same publisher and she couldn’t be happier about that. Stephanie hopes to keep writing as long as she can and already has several writing projects in the works for the future.

Eden-West - Janelle Stalder *Received a free cope from the author in exchange for an honest review*NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Janeeeeeeeeeeeelle, you can't leave it like that!!!!! OMG that's the second time in a row, that a book I've read has ended with such a huge cliffhanger it makes me wanna bawl my eyes out. It's just not fair. How could she end it like that? Oh God, I'm gonna go insane here. I need the third book. I need it damnit!!!So yes, I enjoyed the story. More then that I loooooooooooooooved it. It was perfectly written, the POV changes are still as impressive as ever and there's is also great character development in the book. I am also not ashamed to say that there were times when I squealed like a high school girl or when I cried like a baby, because of a sad scene. I won't go into it any further, because I don't want to spoil anything for future readers. Now let's talk characters!! Oh boy, where to start. Well there's Aiden and can I say that he's become yummy in this book and I've really, really started to like him? Yes, okay then I will, I LIKE AIDEN! Alright I said it. Onto another one, Wolf. He's is still my delectable, little flirt and I love him for it. I'm a bit sad he's being such idiot about his feelings for Elisa, but hey, he's a guy what did you expect? Then there is Elisa, she's a lot more emotional then in the first book and I really liked that because it gave her much more depth as a character. Logan is still Logan, he's still funny as hell which makes him so likable. And then there are Callum and Rose *sighs like a love sick puppy* can I just say that they are soooooooooooo adorable together, I love reading about them. They're so in love, it makes me sad that they're supposed to be part of the bad side. I just hope everything works out for those two. They deserve it. Also we get to meet quite a few new characters. Like Marcus the King of Nysa (The Sun People), personally I don't like him very much, there is just something really slimy about that guy and I really don't trust him. Not one bit. Then there is Moose, Wolf's older brother, I like him because he's funny and kind to Aiden. He'll make a great Chief one day. We also meet Wolf's parents, Hawk and Sunny. They're good people and completely likable. We also meet Rain (Wolf's young sister) and the Shaman. I hate them both. I hate Rain for being a traitorous little [bleep] and betraying her family and people like she did. And I hate the Shaman because he's an old, backstabbing, greedy and evil jerk, who definitely got what he deserved! And then there is Lily; sweet, terrifying, badass and gorgeous Lily, who is part of the forest people and just an incredible character, that I hope will play a larger role in the next book. Because she deserves some love, she is absolutely amazing. So now, my final words for this book. It. Is. Awesome! A marvelous read with a great plot, great characters and great character development. I loved it and I'm positive other people will love it too! 5 out of 5 stars for this book! Original review on http://booknutstephanie.blogspot.be/2013/07/review-eden-west-by-janelle-stalder.html
